Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Westlake, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents, patrol observations, hazards, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
