Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Driver in Annapolis, MD. You will patrol and safeguard clients across a commercial real estate site, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and assist tenants.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers full-time hours with a pay rate of $19 per hour. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe on-site activity for unauthorized entry or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner and coordinate notifications to site management.
• Complete required reports and logs and communicate updates to leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe on-site activity, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for unauthorized entry and/or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site management and/or public responders as directed.
• Complete required reports and logs, document observations and incidents, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
