Job summary

Allied Universal in Buffalo, NY is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol with Active Clearance). You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, observe and report activity, and provide customer service at an aerospace/defense location.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, CPR/First Aid certification preferred, and a background check and drug screen. Schedule is DayTime with weekend shifts; pay rate is $21.04 per hour.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site requirements; maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
