Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Winchester, VA for a part-time role. You will patrol manufacturing and industrial locations, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The position emphasizes strong communication, documentation of activity, and adherence to site procedures. Pays $18.63 per hour with a flexible day/night schedule and opportunities to grow within a leading security company.

Qualifications

• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and support site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and reports in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
