Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Suffern, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as directed, and providing directions or escort support to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
