Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Meridian, MS to patrol assigned areas, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service. Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report maintenance concerns or suspicious activity, and document observations through clear written reports.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating with tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
