Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for morning shifts in Phoenix, AZ. This role focuses on protecting clients across Retail/Malls and other sectors, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering excellent customer service.

You will patrol, monitor access, report incidents, and follow emergency procedures while upholding the company’s standards for integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by observing personnel, visitors, and vehicle traffic; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client contacts.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
