Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a route patrol in South Chesterfield, VA. You will provide customer service, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents at a logistics and distribution site.

This role requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma, with eligibility for a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as per federal, state and local laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter unauthorized entry and report unusual conditions.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations and communicate to site contacts and leadership.

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, offices, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle, visitor, and employee activity to help deter unauthorized entry and report unusual conditions.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
