Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, production-adjacent areas, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor activity per site requirements.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while adhering to PPE procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver in Kingsport, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate professionally while using a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical/petrochemical industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining awareness of industrial hazards and required personal protective equipment procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
