Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to screen airport personnel and travellers at the MCO Orlando International Airport.

This REGULAR PART TIME role requires identifying dangerous objects and maintaining safety at screening locations, with professional customer service and use of advanced screening equipment. The officer will perform metal detection, pat-downs, x-ray operations, and other reviews as needed, while supporting daily security functions and public safety.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Florida Class-D Security License.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Florida state-issued Driver's License or I.D. card.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment, education, and personal references
• Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual / random drug screenings.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work and interact with the public.
• Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening and overnight as required.

Our unarmed Security Officers are responsible for day-to-day security screening of airport

employees and other individuals passing through Screening Locations.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods of time with few breaks
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to twist, squat, and bend over without physical limitations
• Ability to perform patrols including walking long distances and going up and down stairs
• Ability to protect yourself or others in the event of a physical disturbance
• Must be comfortable with conditions that range from Summer Heat to Winter Conditions
• Open availability without restraints due to other part-time jobs, etc.
