Job Description
- Monitors entrances and exits; prevents unauthorized entry; controls entrances, the movement of people and vehicles; operates gate and examines vehicle contents; monitors remote entrances using closed‑circuit television; operates remote access devices.
- Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle to ensure a secure work environment; checks for unsafe conditions; inspects high‑risk areas, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons; inspects buildings and grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
- Prepares logs or reports as required for the site; writes or types reports or enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes required action in accordance with the client’s Global Security standards.
- Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage and provides direction or information to others.
- Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other conditions following procedures established for the site and commensurate with your level of training.
- Maintains Basic First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Ensures that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements.
- Issues necessary hot‑work permits.
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
- Communicates in a manner that is open, honest and responsive in all situations, to the extent authorized.
Work Environment and Schedule
- Job operates in client sites, which could be indoors or outdoors.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during daily security activities.
- Open availability for nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as directed.
- Work various shifts and holidays as assigned.
