Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Security Officer TWIC Patrol Driver to safeguard port facilities. In this full-time role you will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and deliver professional customer service while supporting security operations.

The schedule runs weekdays with 7:30 AM–3:30 PM shifts; you must have a TSA-issued TWIC and a valid driver's license. This position emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and a visible, proactive security presence.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and port-related personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, parking areas, gates, waterfront-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and check credentials, visitor authorizations, and restricted-area entry requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions through required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer TWIC Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government port location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and port-related personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, parking areas, gates, waterfront-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and check credentials, visitor authorizations, and restricted-area entry requirements in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions through required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
