Job summary

Allied Universal offers a Security Officer - Transit Fare Enforcement role covering the Greater St. Louis region.

You will work with Transit Task Force teams to protect riders on light rail, station platforms, facilities and buses, providing safety and security in a dynamic environment. The position requires at least 18 years old (21 for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent (or 5 years' verifiable experience), and the ability to stand outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

As a Security Officer - Transit Fare Enforcement, you will serve and safeguard clients in conjunction with the Law Enforcement Transit Task Force teams to provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms, facilities and buses throughout the Greater St. Louis region.

• $20.13 / Hour
• One year of previous security experience is required
• Customer service skills are a high priority.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions

Minimum Requirements:
