Allied Universal is seeking an Access Control Security Officer (Entry Authorization) in Elwood, IL. You will monitor entry points, verify access, and support a welcoming environment for employees, drivers, and visitors.

The role is full-time with day and night shifts and a pay rate of $19.85 per hour. Minimum requirements include being 18+ for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles, a high school diploma, background check, drug screen where permitted, and licensing requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in line with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate entry/exit records.
• Control access for delivery drivers, vendors, contractors, and other authorized personnel in accordance with established site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, dock entrances, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
