King County's Facilities Management Division seeks experienced STT Security Officers to cover varied shifts at multiple county facilities. These temporary, non-exempt roles provide security checks, access control and incident reporting in a 24-hour operation.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and completion of a public safety academy, with prior security experience and strong communication. Employment is contingent on background checks and fitness tests; overtime may apply.
The King County Facilities Management Division (FMD) is looking to hire experienced professional security officers to join their security team as Short-Term Temporary (STT) Security Officers. The Security Management team provides physical building security, building access and control, operates an emergency dispatch center, and manages lost and found processes.
STT Security Officers are needed to help fill schedule gaps due to requested time-off and/or call-outs. These roles provided an excellent opportunity for security professionals who are seeking additional roles, or additional income. STT positions are non-exempt and overtime eligible, and are ineligible for comprehensive county benefits, including the ORCA pass.
