Job summary

Allied Universal in Billerica, MA is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents.

You will support site operations through clear communication and professional customer service, with timely reporting of observations. Minimum age 18, HS diploma, and background checks are required, along with a drug screen where permitted.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
