Job Description
The Security Officer provides leadership support, guidance, and operational expertise to Security Services to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across all St. Peter's Health facilities. This role supports best practices in safety and security, contributes to the organization’s Environment of Care (EOC) standards, and promotes high levels of patient, physician, visitor, and employee satisfaction. Serving as a subject matter expert, the Security Officer interprets and enforces security-related policies, procedures, and regulations in compliance with state and federal laws, including the constitutional rights of citizens. The Security Officer maintains heightened situational awareness, takes a proactive approach to risk mitigation and incident resolution, and ensures compliance with current licensure, organizational policies, and regulatory guidelines to support a culture of safety and professionalism.
Experienced professional with knowledge of Healthcare Security processes, healthcare specific preferable. Law enforcement experience preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent GED.
State of Montana Security License at time of hire or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
