Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami, FL is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Secure Entry Operations) to serve clients across industrial locations. You will manage entry/exit, verify credentials, and provide customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers a part-time schedule (Fri and Sun nights) with a pay rate of $14.00 per hour and opportunities to grow through our Shift-Claim platform. Compliance with licensing and background checks is required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue and collect temporary badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, coordinate with receiving personnel for deliveries, and help maintain orderly traffic flow.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner with site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior/exterior areas to identify and report security concerns.

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue and collect temporary badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, coordinate with receiving personnel for scheduled deliveries, and help maintain orderly traffic flow at gates and entrances.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
