Job summary

Evermore Orlando Resort is seeking dedicated security professionals to protect guests and team members while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. You will patrol the property, respond to incidents, and document events with precision.

Key duties include assisting guests, coordinating emergency responses, and upholding resort policies. The role requires watchfulness, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR certification and basic First Aid certification required.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to interact with guests using conversational English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with guests and team members, answering questions and providing directions.
  • Maintain resort order and assist with door locks and safety issues.
  • Coordinate calm, effective responses to emergencies and safety hazards.
  • Respond to safety hotline calls and document incidents clearly.
  • Write clear security incident reports after investigations.
  • Observe CCTV for unusual activity and report to supervisor.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with golfers and guests, answer questions and provide directions
  • Thorough knowledge of the layout of the resort buildings, function rooms, and some knowledge of the city and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
  • Ability to follow written and or verbal instructions
  • Spend the majority of shift on vehicle patrol, foot patrol, climbing stairs of the interior and perimeter of the resort to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
  • Requires verbal communication using cell phone and two-way radios,
  • Maintain order in the resort, dealing with the welfare of guests, assisting with door lock and safe problems
  • Coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as medical, fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner. Handle undesired conduct, violations of resort policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of hotel guests, employees, patrons, and property.
  • Answer security telephone and safety hotline calls as well as responding in a timely manner based on priority.
  • Capable of preparing computer generated reports in a complete and timely manner.
  • Observe the CCTV monitors for any unusual activity and in the case of suspicious behavior report directly, via radio, to the supervisor on duty; report any alarms similarly.
  • Use a clear, concise voice, listen with empathy, provide accurate information and document legibly all appropriate incident information.
  • Ability to write clear and complete security incident reports on happenings within the resort after a thorough investigation.
  • Memorize and monitor life safety systems installed at property including layout of entire building, alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguisher and sprinklers.
  • Keep storage area clean, organized and stocked
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance defects to Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to interact with guests utilizing conversational English
  • Ability to listen effectively, speak, read, and write clearly to ascertain and document important information
  • CPR certification and basic First Aid Certification
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and kneel as in performing CPR.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capable of performing role in a busy work environment
  • Capable of working scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines / instructions in English

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for the duration of shift.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Requires grasping, lifting and or carrying using manual dexterity of hands.
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property.
  • Able to safely lift up to 70 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials
  • Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside
