Job summary

Allied Universal in Dallas, TX is seeking a Security Officer Driver Screening Checkpoint to safeguard clients across industries, including Logistics & Distribution. You will screen personnel and vehicles, monitor access points, and report security concerns while delivering courteous, professional service at a fast-paced distribution site.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, 6 months of security experience, and comfort using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of security-related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while conducting site-specific screening procedures.
• Screen personnel, packages, and other items entering or leaving the location per procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials and authorization for individuals entering restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report observations to site leadership or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, packages, and other authorized items entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documentation, and authorization for individuals entering restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, the business, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
