Job summary

American Security Force is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Rover) to serve in Inglewood/Commerce, CA. The role requires unarmed security duties, visitor greeting, patrols, and observer reporting with a focus on safety and customer service.

Gaps must be closed: 18+, CA Guard Card, driver license and clean record; weekend availability; pre-employment drug screen; background check. Training provided; background checks will be performed as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent, OR 5 years of verifiable security experience.
• Valid CA Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Active CA Guard Card (DPS) required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and travel between job sites.
• Must be available to work on weekends and OT if needed.
• Background check and drug screening in accordance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, direct, and announce visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Maintain regular foot patrols according to prescribed schedules
• Monitor premises and respond to any unusual sounds, odors, or suspicious activity
• Lock/unlock gates and doors as needed
• Respond to problem situations and elevate as appropriate
• Maintain thorough documentation including Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports
• Communicate with clients, supervisors, vendors, contractors, and the public professionally
• Travel between assigned locations throughout the shift as needed
• Ensure consistent service excellence and customer satisfaction
