Job Description

As a Security Officer Route Patrol Driver in Sturgis, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare laboratory and office environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, verify credentials as assigned, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support a professional, welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
