Job summary

Security America, Inc. in Charleston, WV is seeking security officers for full-time (and part-time) positions to patrol and monitor assigned areas, report suspicious activities, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma, GED, or 10 years verifiable work experience.
• Drug free before beginning work or receiving an offer of employment; refusal to test disqualifies.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; state licensing requirements for Security Officers may apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; report suspicious activities and document all suspicious activity.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
