Qualifications

• A drug screen may be required, where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials and documenting visitor/contractor entry.
• Respond to incidents calmly, handling medical emergencies, fire alarms, disturbances, and property-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports and promptly communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Retail Store Patrol in Melville, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.58 / Hour

DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, disturbances, and property-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain patrol and activity logs, and promptly communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
