Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Retail Plaza Patrol in LOS ANGELES, CA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while providing welcoming service to tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and management by following security procedures.
• Monitor access points and building operations per site procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and building operations in accordance with established commercial property procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken according to site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain professional communication with property staff, first responders, and other stakeholders while supporting a welcoming environment for occupants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
