Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Residential Dispatch Operations to safeguard clients across government and residential sites.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain visibility, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to site procedures. The role is Full Time with a pay rate of $22.56 per hour and a schedule that includes evenings and some weekends.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and public agency personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and report issues to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points following site procedures for visitor, contractor, and delivery access.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, maintenance-related concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting issues to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe individuals entering or leaving the property, following site procedures for visitor, contractor, and delivery access.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications, and promptly report unusual conditions to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
