Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to join our full-time team in Silver City, NM. The role focuses on access control, patrols, and rapid response to incidents, ensuring a safe environment for clients and guests.

Applicants should have strong customer service, the ability to work independently, and a current Guard Card Level 1 license. Training is provided, and benefits are included as part of a comprehensive security program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Guard Card License Level 1 required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
