Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation is seeking a Security Officer to protect assets and ensure the safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF sites. You will implement security strategies, enforce policies, and maintain a safe environment across all locations.

The role requires vigilance, professional conduct, and the ability to respond quickly to potentially dangerous situations while maintaining the respect and trust of colleagues and visitors.

Qualifications

• Active Security Guard Card is required.
• Experience protecting staff and assets at facilities is preferred.
• Ability to submit accurate incident reports and follow procedures.

Job description

A Security Officer contributes to AHF by being responsible for protecting the company's assets and ensuring the safety of its staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF's sites. In this role, you will leverage your training in security and you will be in charge of implementing strategies that protect our personnel and assets (including inventory of donations) at AHF sites. You will have full responsibility for implementing policies and procedures designed to achieve this important mission.

A Security Officer enhances the reputation of AHF by being friendly, professional and disciplined in the performance of their duties, recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond in the safest and most effective manner.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.

The Security Officer will work as a part of a close-knit team to establish and maintain working relationships with the Senior Leadership staff to ensure a safe and secure environment. Finally, you will utilize the existing Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports regarding events and situation that occur while on duty. In this role you will have the opportunity to add consistent value to AHF by adapting to various situations with ease and by being flexible.
