Job summary

Allied Universal in Portland, OR is seeking a Security Officer Patrol for the weekday swing shift. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and help create a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff.

You will provide excellent customer service, monitor access, document security activity, and respond to incidents using site procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and professionalism.
• Ability to conduct routine/unarmed patrols and report issues.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Background checks and drug screening as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report unauthorized access and assist visitors as needed.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document activities per site requirements.
• Prepare clear daily activity and incident reports and handoff information.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, report unauthorized access concerns, and provide directions or assistance to visitors as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff information while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
