Securitas USA is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time position at our Peoria, IL site. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to keep people and assets safe.

Qualifications include being 18+, a HS diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and strong communication and computer skills. We offer comprehensive benefits and regular pay on a weekly cycle.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Above average computer / technology skills.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must remain calm under pressure and vigilant during shift.
• Must respond to emergencies with rapid judgment and appropriate escalation.
• Strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must participate in pre-employment screening including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
