Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for Buffalo, NY. The role offers fixed shifts with additional opportunities to pick up more hours through the scheduling platform.

You will perform campus security duties, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors. The position requires a minimum of 6 months security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, or security incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Property Protection in Buffalo, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

DayTimeWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security‑related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
