Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Services in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, supporting daily coverage across the property. Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities appropriate for a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support loss prevention efforts, observe policy-related issues, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with crowd management, visitor questions, and customer assistance during busy periods, special events, and/or closing procedures while following Allied Universal post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
