Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver Residential in Irvine, CA. You will drive patrol routes, conduct inspections, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns to protect residents and guests.

This is a full-time, late-evening position with a pay rate of $21.50 per hour. Preferred candidates have a valid driver’s license, at least 6 months of security experience, and comfort with computers/tablets.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; provide directions and assistance to residents and guests as needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience using an alarm panel is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
