Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Winfield, Kansas. You will provide unarmed security, monitor areas, and deliver professional customer service while enforcing site policies and responding to incidents.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour and night shifts from Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM. A background check and health requirements apply, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Vaccination as required by hospital policy
• Minimum 6 months security-related experience
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required by law
• Criminal history considered consistent with laws
• Drug screen required where permitted
• Licensing as required by state/local laws
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security procedures and policies
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter
• Monitor access points and observe activity according to procedures
• Document incidents and communicate information to site leadership and Allied Universal management

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, patrols, and unusual activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
