Job summary

Walden Security is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Pataskala OH to maintain a safe, secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. You will monitor assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service with a calm, alert presence.

Position Title: Security Officer
Location: Pataskala OH (15-20 minutes outside Downtown Columbus)

Position Summary:

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly environment for employees, visitors, clients, and property. The officer will monitor assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, respond to incidents, enforce site policies, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a calm and alert presence.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required. We are happy to train those without experience in the industry.
• Certifications:
  • Security Officer License (where applicable).
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
• Skills:
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using security systems, cameras, and basic office technology (e.g., email, Microsoft Office).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods.
• Driving Eligibility: Posts requiring operation of a company vehicle will only be permitted for those over the age of 25 with a screened motor vehicle record. (Accidents and Violations are reviewed on a case by case basis)

Requirements:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test
• Previous security and supervisory experience preferred
