Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for weekend, part-time work in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors while maintaining a visible security presence and following site procedures.

This role offers a weekend schedule with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour, opportunities to learn through the Claim a Shift platform, and a path to broader roles within a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property, parking areas, building perimeter, and common areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe property activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
