Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and other critical situations calmly and professionally; notify campus personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs; communicate information to supervisors and incoming personnel.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, facility hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to established procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs; communicate relevant information to supervisors and incoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
