As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Monitor for unusual activity, report observations, and help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or policy violations.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
