Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced (Unarmed) for the Wappingers Falls, NY site. This role provides reliable, flexible hours with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• One year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with badge verification, visitor direction, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Wappingers Falls, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.66 - $22.66 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
