Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Mall Patrol Security Officer in Valencia, CA. You will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide friendly customer service to tenants, shoppers, and staff while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in retail common areas, parking lots, entrances and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other events calmly and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report suspicious behavior or policy violations to site management.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts and leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
