Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in retail areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site contacts.
• Assist with access control, directions, visitor interactions, and incident documentation.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, directions, visitor interactions, and documentation of incidents and patrol activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
