Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Checkpoint. You will protect clients, perform access control, patrol facilities, and provide courteous service in a technology-focused environment.

This part-time role offers a flexible schedule with day and evening shifts. A high school diploma and background screen are required; CPR certification is preferred and access-control experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law; drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document entries, deliveries, and other relevant activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document entries, deliveries, and other relevant activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations or concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
