As a Security Officer Part Time Screening Operations in Baltimore, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen personnel and visitors entering the facility using established procedures, including verification of credentials, review of authorized access, and inspection of permitted items as applicable.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and access-control systems; report suspicious activity, prohibited items, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and support a professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
