Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at Fairfax, VA to greet visitors, manage access control, badge processes, and monitor alarm panels in a dynamic office environment.

You will provide professional customer service, maintain visitor records, and support a secure, organized site. Schedule: Sat 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM. Pay rate: $21.11/hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: guard card or license preferred
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet preferred
• Alarm panel experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Access control and badge experience preferred
• Ages: 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles
• Background check required by law
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws
• Driver's license required for driving positions only

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk by greeting visitors, maintaining a professional presence, and directing guests, vendors, and employees in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor authorization, issuing credentials as directed, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
