Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a government location in Cleveland, OH. You will provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific procedures and security policies.

The position offers a flexible schedule and the ability to explore shifts using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and prepare clear activity reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
