Job summary

Allied Universal in Toledo, OH is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Perimeter Patrol. You will provide customer service, monitor access points, and conduct patrols to deter security incidents while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

The position offers a flexible four-shift schedule (Mon–Thu, 2:00 PM–7:30 PM) with a pay rate of $16.48 per hour. Minimum requirements include at least a high school diploma and a background check as required by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a behavioral healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate locations within the facility.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
