Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Patrol Coverage in Santa Cruz, CA. You will patrol healthcare locations and nearby sites, maintaining a visible security presence and providing excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The role offers part-time hours on Saturdays and Sundays, with a pay rate of $22.50 per hour. You will join a team guided by values of agility, reliability, and integrity, working on-site to protect people and property.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by the employer.
• Must be able to work weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site procedures and safety guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings and grounds to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and report suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and patrols in line with site requirements.

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing individuals and reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
