Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Coordination in Hyattsville, MD to provide reliable coverage at an assigned site. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining high standards of professional conduct and customer service.

This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts, potential pathways to full‑time work, and access to scheduling

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience
• A guard card or license is preferred
• Access control and badge experience is preferred
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Background investigation required by law
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may apply
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the beverage production and distribution location, including exterior areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter boundaries.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and report suspicious activity, facility concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Coordination in Hyattsville, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

DayTimeSun02:00 AM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
