Job summary

Allied Universal in Lockport, IL is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Enhanced to provide reliable hours and customer-focused safety services at a designated site. You may earn more through the scheduling platform by picking up extra shifts, with a six-month anchor commitment.

This role supports incident response, patrols, access control and visitor interactions in a retail setting. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and, if applicable, a state license;

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed Patrol in Lockport, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.73 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 02:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, receiving locations, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential policy violations, and security‑related concerns, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
