Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare location.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

As a Security Officer Part Time Patient Deescalation in Nashville, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun06:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security‑related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and direction‑giving while maintaining a professional and courteous presence in a healthcare location.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Must be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
